Meet the newest addition to our fabric collection: Denim Linen! Honestly, it’s a fabric we’ve been so excited to finally introduce. We’re bringing it to you in a full range of clothing you’ll want to wear on repeat, from denim linen jeans and jackets, to skirt, shirts, and some of our most-loved dresses.

New stripes and checks join the collection too, alongside fresh silhouettes made for layering, repeating, and wearing from one season straight into the next.

What Is Denim Linen?

Denim linen looks exactly like the traditional denim you already know. The fabric is structured, textured with that familiar denim pattern, but it’s made entirely from pure linen. There’s no cotton and no other blends. Just linen woven in a way that gives it denim-like look and feel.

What Makes Denim Linen Different?

Weight: around 270 g/m².

Composition: 100% high-quality European linen.

Certification: OEKO-TEX® Standard along with EUROPEAN FLAX® .

The weight puts this new fabric right between our medium and heavy-weight linen fabrics. The fabric has enough substance to hold its structure and shape. Although it is made entirely from natural linen, the specific weave gives the fabric a denser, more structured look than typical linen carries.

That structure matters when you actually wear it. On dresses, it helps create a more defined silhouette. On a jacket, it gives the piece a shape without the stiffness you often get from heavier denim. As a result, you have clothes that hold more weight, shape, and structure, while still keeping linen’s natural character and breathability underneath.

Color: The single deep navy blue denim color we offer isn’t a trend color. It’s the kind of timeless and classic denim blue that works with everything already in your closet. It’ll still work with whatever you add to it next year.

Denim Linen vs. Regular Denim

Traditional denim typically uses cotton, or cotton blends, for strength, stretch, or durability. Denim linen is different: it is made from 100% linen, with no cotton or no synthetic blends. It is naturally breathable, softens on its own with wear, and has moisture-wicking properties.

The real difference becomes more obvious once you put the fabrics next to each other and see how it feels on the garments. Regular cotton denim tends to feel heavier and more rigid, especially in thicker weights. Denim linen has structure, but keeps some of the lighter, more natural character that makes linen so comfortable to wear. It drapes beautifully while maintaining the stronger shape of the clothing. Without making an outfit feel too heavy.

Can You Wear It All Year?

Yes! It performs best during fall and spring, when you need more layers and coverage. But the right pieces can easily work in summer and winter wardrobes too. Think of it as a more structured take on linen. The fabric has enough weight to give garments shape and can adapt to different outfits throughout the year.

Dress Up with Denim Linen Dresses and Skirt

Denim linen helps a dress hold its shape properly, giving even a simple dress a more defined look. We brought denim linen to two of our dresses: Rue maxi dress and Roni mini dress. Both can be dressed up or down easily depending on what you pair them with. The same denim linen comes in Ariel skirt too, now cut with more structured shape and stronger drape.

A few easy ways to style the skirt or dress:

• Cooler evening: Layer the Bill denim linen jacket over the denim dress. Add ankle boots. Everything stays in the same fabric family, but the layers add real depth to the outift.

• Wear the Rue V-neck dress with a white shirt under for contrast. Or layer the dress over a pair of pants instead for something fun and unexpected.

• Pair the denim linen skirt with soft knitwear, a relaxed linen blouse, or a fitted top to play with shape and add proportion and softer silhouette.

What Colors Pair Well With Denim Linen

Denim blue is easy to build around, but a few directions work especially well.

Deeper, darker shades bring out the denim’s structure best, olive, brown, burgundy red, or even a second piece in any blue for a tonal, all-blue look. These colors don’t compete with the denim, they let it lead and create beautiful combinations.

White creates more contrast. A white shirt underneath or a white top layered with the jacket, cuts the dark denim and hands the outfit real contrast.

Neutral tones, cream, grey, pastel colors sit comfortably in between. They won’t clash with the denim navy blue, but they won’t disappear into it either.

How to Care for Denim Linen

This fabric asks for a slightly gentler routine and a little extra case than regular linen, mostly because of its denser weave. Here are the general steps on how to wash and care for denim linen:

• 1. Machine wash at no more than 30°C on a gentle cycle. You can also hand wash the garment in cold water.
• 2. Skip the tumble dryer entirely. Heat will shrink the fabric!
• 3. Air dry naturally, laid the garment flat or hang it to dry, keeping it away from direct heat.
• 4. Ironing is optional, but it would give the garment a more elevated look. Iron the inside out, and set a low heat on the iron for a smoother finish.

Treated this way, denim linen piece will look best and hold its structure and shape. Just the same way any good pair of quality jeans should.

Striped Linen

Denim isn’t the only new fabric in our fall arrivals. We’re also introducing more striped linen, available in two new colors: brown and blue.

At 195 g/m², this fabric is lighter than denim linen but heavier than our regular medium-weight linen. Its dense weave gives it a substantial feel, while stripes spaced around 5 mm apart add just the right amount of pattern.
